Hello all,
Wanted to let you all know about our upcoming CD release concert,
featuring the second in our Homespun
series. It's called From
the Heart, and it's a collection of love songs--love
songs in various iterations. Not all of them mushy!
 While the original Homespun is
pretty much a straight-up country album for sure, this new release
incorporates more understated elements. Most of these songs have been
"in the can" since we recorded the first Homespun, but we
recently recorded a couple more that we felt just had to be on there--
one a rollicking Roger Miller tune that has been getting great response
at our live shows, and Who
Are You Redbird, a meditative reflection on the appearance
of certain birds as visitations from departed loved ones--a tradition
enshrined in many belief systems. So, it's safe to say the selections
run the gamut of affection for sure.
